Our Practice
For nearly two decades Corebuilt Construction has created luxury homes in California.
With offices in Los Angeles our projects range from new urban houses to country estates and landmark restorations, as well as commercial typologies.
Our work is always guided by a quest for simplicity and elegance. We are grounded in an appreciation for the fine craft of building and a harmonious use of natural forms and materials.
Scott Hamilton Harris
Third generation builder and Los Angeles native, Scott Hamilton Harris is the co-founder and General Contractor of Corebuilt Construction, established in 2005. As well, an award-winning, Master Builder, environmentalist, and national expert for the luxury residential building industry with 36 years of professional experience.
Scott’s passion for creating beautiful homes started at the age of five, crafting custom pieces of moldings and furniture for his own home. By age 15, Scott was sought out by prominent architecture firms, designing homes for clients such as Paul Allen, Jean Paul DeJoria, Kevin Costner and many others.
Scott Hamilton Harris was named “Builder of the Year” for Malibu and in 2018, Glady’s Magazine named Scott Harris “Most Inspiring People of the Decade” for his work, along a long list of icons such as Madonna, Gordon Ramsey, Robbin Williams, Martha Stewart and others.
Scott’s is regularly called upon to appear on media outlets such as FOX TV, CBS, HGTV, Paramount and many others as a construction expert. Scott also is a contributing writer for Green Home Builder Magazine, Builder and Developer Magazine, Malibu Magazine, MSN, and Gladys Magazine to name a few. Scott has spoken to millions through radio and live talks, teaching the nation how to build a better home, and live more luxuriously. Scott lives in Los Angeles, with his two sons Ryan and Liam.

Alex Zazove
Alex is Co-Founder and Partner of Corebuilt Construction where he helps lead company operations, preconstruction, project execution, and client communication. He works closely with project teams, clients, consultants, and trade partners to keep projects aligned, proactively solve challenges, and ensure each job moves forward with clarity, accountability, and strong execution.
With a long working background in high-end residential construction, Alex has experience spanning detailed renovations, complex remodels, and fully custom ground-up homes. He began his career as an intern and steadily advanced through roles in project engineering, executive support, project management, and ultimately Director of Production. In that role, he oversaw active projects, supported business development efforts, and helped guide project teams from early planning through final completion.
Known for his efficiency, direct communication style, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues, Alex places a strong emphasis on relationships and trust. He believes the best projects are built through collaboration, where clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and builders work together as one unified team toward a shared goal.
Miguel Ruiz
Miguel Ruiz has been a rising star and Site Superintendent at Corebuilt Construction for four years. Miguel’s attention to details and respect for client’s needs has made him one of the most requested team members on client’s projects. Miguel has extensive experience in helping to create Corebuilt’s most accomplished projects.
